DYSPORT VS. BOTOX

Botox and Dysport are both classified as neurotoxins, primarily used to block repeated muscle contractions. While these products can be used to treat spasms from medical conditions like neurological disorders, the most popular application is to treat and prevent facial wrinkles.

There are several key differences between Dysport and Botox. The main difference between these two products is the area in which they are approved for use. Dysport is predominantly used to correct glabellar lines, the frown lines between your eyebrows, whereas Botox can be used to treat many different types of wrinkles such as forehead wrinkles, laugh lines and crow’s feet.

Dysport is a wonderful option for patients whose primary concern is to correct moderate to severe frown lines. In addition, some people experience noticeable results more quickly with Dysport, usually only taking a few days to kick in, as opposed to Botox which may take a week or slightly longer. What To Expect From

YOUR DYSPORT TREATMENT

On the day of your consultation, one of our Master Injectors will review your specific concerns to determine if Dysport is the right fit for you. Once determined, we will create a treatment plan tailored to your individual needs and review the estimated cost of the procedure. The procedure itself is quick and relatively painless; most patients classify the sensation of getting Dysport to a mild pinch. Since the procedure is non-invasive, patients are able to get back to their normal activities immediately after their appointment. Since the results are temporary, continued treatments spaced 3-4 months apart is suggested.
